Fresh strawberry lemonade with hints of basil & lemon.
Summer is coming! Fact, summer and lemonade go hand in hand.
This strawberry lemonade is so easy to make and only requires a few ingredients: strawberries (of course!?), basil leaves and lemon.
First the strawberries are blended together with the basil leaves. Basil leaves??? Yup, the basil gives this lemonade an exotic touch. Then the strawberry puree is topped with sparkling water, extra strawberries and basil leaves. Don’t like basil? Swap it for mint leaves.
And the best part of this lemonade, it’s 100% natural. No added sugars or preservatives, pure nature.
How to jazz up your lemonade? Make strawberry ice cubes! The fruity ice cubes add a little fun and extra colour to your lemonade.
To make the ice cubes: Drop strawberries in an ice cube tray, add water and freeze. A simple melty & healthy treat for your drinks!
The number of people you’re making this lemonade for, will determine the quantities. I made two glasses, but some basic math solves everything.

Loaded Strawberry – Basil Lemonade
vegan, gluten free, soy free, nut free
1 cup strawberries, chopped
2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
10 basil leaves
Sparkling water (~1 cup)
Ice cubes (see intro)
Extra basil leaves & strawberies for serving
Blend or mix the strawberries, lemon juice and basil leaves until smooth.
Divide the strawberry puree between two glass. Top with (strawberry) ice cubes and sparkling water.
Garnish with extra strawberries and basil leaves if desired.
Don’t like basil? Swap it for mint leaves.
