Relaxing Almond – Lavender Moon Milk

Almond moon milk spiked with lavender & vanilla.

I often have trouble sleeping, I wake up in the middle of the night not being able to fall back asleep. And I’m not alone in my struggle to get a good night of quality sleep and wake up completely energised.

As rest is healing and restorative to our body it needs to change. For my general well-being and because there’s nothing worse than lying in bed tossing and turning all night trying to fall back asleep.

NATURAL LAVENDER MILK TO HELP.

Lavender moon milk will help you relax and get a good night of sleep. This homemade almond milk infused with edible lavender buds & vanilla will help you soothe yourself before bedtime.

Lavender is known for its relaxing properties and ability to help you sleep. You will feel rested and refreshed ready to start the day.

And to make sure I have a really good night sleep, I take the time to relax and unwind before bedtime. A warm bath, a yoga and meditation session, a few extra drops of lavender oil on my pillow,… Little things that help me relax and fall asleep faster and make sure I don’t stay awake all night.

Sipping my lavender moon milk, curled up in a blanked with my cat on my lap… A sweet lullaby!

Relaxing Almond – Lavender Moon Milk

vegan, gluten free, soy free, raw

 


Ingredients:

1 cup almonds

3 ½ cups water

4 medjool dates, chopped

3 tsp dried lavender buds

¼ tsp vanilla powder

Pinch salt

¼ tsp xanthan gum (optional, for extra thickness and creaminess)

 

Instructions:

Soak the almonds overnight in water. Drain the almonds and rinse.

Blend the almonds, dates, lavender, vanilla, salt and xanthan along with 1 cup of water. Add the remaining 2 ½ cups of water and blend again.

Pour the almond milk into a strainer covered with a cheese cloth. Squeeze out as much liquid as possible milk (and flavour).

Pour the milk in a bottle and keep in the fridge.

Drink the almond – lavender milk cold or warm. Sprinkle with some lavender buds if desired. Enjoy & relax!

 

Note:

Add some Ashwaganda powder if desired, I like to keep my lavender milk all natural and powder free.
